Who We Are and What We Do
Betaipixel is an event planning and design studio based in Kakamega, Kenya. Founded in 2018, we have spent six years developing a methodology that places visual design at the centre of the planning process rather than appending it as decor at the end. Our studio works across four service areas — corporate events, private celebrations, weddings, and stand-alone event design — and our clients range from regional businesses and NGOs to families and couples planning significant life milestones. We operate primarily across western Kenya, including Kakamega, Kisumu, Bungoma, and Eldoret, with the capacity to coordinate events elsewhere in the country when the engagement timeline permits. Our team of seven includes two dedicated designers, a logistics coordinator, a supplier relations manager, and two on-day production specialists who are present at every event we deliver.
How We Work — and Where We Set Limits
Our process is structured around documentation and sign-off at every stage. You will never arrive at an event wondering whether the colour was approved — because you will have approved it in writing, from a moodboard, before any supplier was contracted. We do not carry large volumes of decor inventory ourselves; instead, we maintain an audited network of suppliers across western Kenya whose quality and reliability we have verified through repeated engagement. This keeps our overhead low and your cost transparent. We should be honest about scope: Betaipixel is not the right studio for a client who needs a 72-hour turnaround on a 300-guest event, or for a client whose budget does not allow for a minimum planning period. Events produced under severe time or budget constraint carry risks that we will always name clearly rather than absorb silently. If a brief does not fit our capacity or standards, we will say so — and where possible, refer you to an alternative.
